Manhattan Club Change as of Nov 1, 2015
I booked Manhattan Club through RCI and received this notification...

The staff at The Manhattan Club advised us that effective November 1, 2015, their hospitality fee will change from USD $30 to USD $38.50 per day. This fee covers WiFi, daily housekeeping, bed make and fresh towels. Please be aware that resort fees are subject to change without prior notice.

We realize this may have an impact on your vacation and wanted to inform you of this situation in advance. Since space availability is limited in the area you confirmed, we encourage you to retain your vacation. Should you decide to cancel your stay, our standard cancellation guidelines will apply.

    Saw this OY….ridiculous!

What -- hasn't everyone's income increased 30% in the last two years???

I guess they need it for their legal fees...

Is this an RCI thing for the Manhattan Club? We didn't have to pay any fees at all at the Manhattan Club exchanging with SFX. We had daily housekeeping etc.

Yes, it's a fee for RCI members. I'm sure if SFX starts sending more people through, it'll soon apply to those as well. i don't remember whether IIers get charged or not.

I exchanged through II once and did not get charged, but that was several years ago.

Currently no charges thru II but they have minimal availability.

Last May there was no charges thru SFX but now they restrict ALL of NYC exchanges to one in three years.

They did that because they have such a heavy demand for NYC so this gives others an opportunity to visit there. We have exchanged into NYC 3 times staying at a different timeshare each time. We stayed at the Manhattan Club, HGVC 57th and Hilton Vacation Club on the Avenue of the Americas ( 6th ave. ). The Hilton Vacation Club is our favorite by far.

And now if you go this year, you can not go back to any NYC property for three years.
RCI has one in four for Manhattan Club in weeks
Hilton Club and West 57th also have that disclaimer in the RCI exchange screen but I think this is Also week related.
