  • Buffalo-Hit by early storm

Two to Three Feet of snow. About 250,000 people without power. People stuck in their cars on the Thruway overnight and still there,
On Thursday a freak October snow storm came in and the wet snow caused many trees and limbs to fall down cutting off the power lines to much of the area. May be days before power is restored.

I'm an hour away to the east and nothing. No snow in Rochester but no unnecessary travel west of Batavia

That's childs play snow to the Buffloinions. They get three feet every day in the winter.

All kidding aside, 3 feet in Oct wow. At least it should all melt away and not ice up in a day or so.

I hope this is not an indication of what the winter plans on bringing us!

It is 42 degrees here this morning. Was in the high 70s earlier in the week.

Thank goodness we checked the heat system last weekend. It didn't work so Randy ( who has been here 3 times in 3 months ) came out wednesday to install a new ignitor and pilot.

I offered to adopt him as it would be cheaper to feed him but he said no.
