It's cheaper to fly to Florida from Newark than it is to get a limo to midtown.

For $140, I'd rather run there.

Yeah, it's crazy. A cab would probably be...what, Glitter? About $80?

Can the New York residents chime in on this one....I have personally used and usually recommend Dial7 New York City Car & Limousine Service | Manhattan, Brooklyn, NJ & NYC Limo & Car Services . Car service and/or limos-but I can see from the website that a limo would fall in the range Boca was already quoted. But for car service-it might be worthwhile.

Is there any reason why this company wasn't mentioned? In other words...any reason I should stop recommending it? Obviously, I don't live in New York/New Jersey-so I just want to be sure the company is still considered reliable.
        Thanks!

They advertise all over. I just don't have any experience with them. Haven't heard anything negative about them. I suspect all the limos are going to be in the same price range, more or less.

            Try Carmel Limo

            Boca,

When we stay at the Manhattan Club, we use Carmel Limo.

Luxury sedan should be around $50 bucks, limo $130.

There are always coupons for $4 or $6 off; just google it before you make the reservation.

Do any of the NY hotels provide car service for guests?

Btw, when Boca said "limo," I didn't even think "limousine." My driver's quote of $140 was for standard pickup in his Ford Explorer or other available car in his small fleet.

thanks for the information. i think it would save me a lot of trouble to order pick up service from newark to Tenafly for my daughter's family than to attempt to get them. How do you arrange pick up time when planes may be delayed or luggage delayed/ do you give them a later time or do they wait and charge you extra?

You give them your flight number. They monitor that and know if you're going to be late. If your luggage is delayed I don't think there's much you can do. Never had that happen when we used a car service but I would guess they might charge extra.
