  • Ridgewood NY couple missing after driving back from Myrtle Beach

A Ridgewood NY couple have not made it home from Myrtle beach after a week. They live about a mile from me and when I heard it on the news it caught my eye. The police at first did not take it seriously at first but they are now.

    Frank,
That is very interesting. Do they have idea what has happened?

I heard about this on the local news. It seams that they have disappeared without a trace. The FBI is now involved, and their children have flown down to Myrtle Beach to hand our flyers, and ask questions.

The daughter said that they were traveling with a considerable amount of cash and Christmas presents. The father is a coin collector, and he had his collection with him, too.

I hope this story has a happy ending. So far, it doesn't sound good.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Well the Christmas presents in the car blows my theory that they have "dropped out" to avoid the holidays. I must have been projecting.

Angela you heard more than what I did. From the looks of it. I do not think there is going to be a happy ending.

Sad news. It appears this couple has been found dead in a swampy area of NC. Right now they say it appears to be an accident.

Oh, that is sad news, I was hoping for a happy ending. What a horrible thing to happen right before Christmas. I feel terrible for their family.

Not good news, I guess it was an Accident then and not foul play. The family had said that they have done this ride a few times before. It is a shame for a vacation to end in tragedy.

Latest report is that they went through a guard rail, down an embankment, hit a tree and then submerged in a creek (?). One speculation is that a deer might have bolted across the road and caused them to swerve. Someone who is familiar with the area says there has been a problem with this at times. It's always hard to lose family members, but it seems especially hard when close to the holidays. My thoughts are with them and their family.

Just saw it on the news. I hate to say this and I am not fully sure but He looks like someone I have seen before. We are close by so it could be possible. I don't understand how no one saw them going off road. There are always people on 95.
A few years ago I was driving from NY on 95s to Orlando. The highway was shut down for a few hours while the helicopter took away a survivor to the hospital. The driver veered off 95 and went into the bushes.
