Closest to Niagra Falls?

I offered my Brother & his family use of one of my weeks and asked where they would like to go. He is not a big flyer and mainly drives to vacation. His response was Niagra Falls - preferrably in Winter. He lives in Butler Pa. I am clueless what resorts may be within reasonable distance to Niagra falls.

Also, for you north easterners, are there any other areas in the northeast I should suggest?

I should also add I have weeks in II, RCI & DAE

I think that II has a few resorts in Ontario, but I am not sure how close they are to Niagara Falls.

Another nice winter location to consider would be the New England states. Vermont is great in the winter. It really depends on what might interest your brother. Does he like skiing, and other winter sports? Sight seeing, etc.?

Go to HorseShoe resorts in Barrie Ontario. All of your Snow fun is right on site along with 2 restaurants and a great inexpensive Spa that does wraps. They will be able to see the falls both coming and going. Barrie Ontario is just over an hour away.

If winter, perhaps Peek 'N Peak would be a good choice. It's in NY about 1-1/2-2 hours from the falls and has a ski slope. Could be a tough trade and it is in a rather remote location.

There is a new 5* resort in II that looks really nice, that might interest you. I think that it may still be be under construction, tho. I'm not sure what the availability for next winter would be..................

DAE also has a resort with a fair amount of availibility in Niagara Falls. I believe it is called Vacation Villas at Niagara Falls. see www.daelive.com
