  • Record Breaking...70 Degrees in NY, Today!

It's going to be 70 Degrees in New York, today.

This is unbelievable.....My DH left this morning to go and play golf with a big smile on his face. Playing golf, in January, wearing just a light jacket....Can't beat that.

I'm not a fan of cold weather, so I love it!!! Just hope the rest of the winter is a mild one.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

    Meet you at the beach!

Actually my buddy and I are planning on trailering the horses out today. Poor fuzzy beasts have their winter coats on though.

      Lawren have fun.

I'm trying to think of something to do outdoors, myself. I want to take advantage of this weather, before it's gone.

PS.......I hope that the horses won't be sweating!!!!

I went out for a run this AM in my summer clothes!!! Lots of fun. I guess if I can't have winter fun, summer fun in winter is OK.

            It's el nino.

Unless the record set in the 50s was also to be blamed on global warming.

Dear Old Dad in SCal is jealous of us for the weather we are having this winter in the northeast.

Downside is YES the horses will be lathered with sweat and the ticks and viruses won't get killed off without a bit of a freeze...a small price to pay IMHO

I was outside both last night smoking a cigar or two in just a t shirt. I believe Vikingboy went to play golf this morning as well.

What might be bad is the fact that nature is not taking it's coarse. Birds did not fly south, Many trees might die and animals that should be in hibernation are not hibernating. The deer next year will be in abundance since there is plenty to eat. Trees will start to bloom again and will die with the frost. Mosquitoes are multiply so here comes more west Nile this season.

But I am enjoying smoking my cigar without my snow blower running.

And the mad snowboarding Glitter boys are not happy. DH says he might not come to NH next weekend, the kids want to go regardless of the conditions... And I can't even say "let's cancel and get our money back..." usually a plus, but not this time...

It's only going to get to the 60's here, but that's good enough for my first cigar of the year. So Ang', was he smiling because of the golf trip ?

That was only part of the reason.

Good thing I never fully closed my pool. I could not find the cover in the garage so I left it off. Water might be good to go for a swim by tomorrow.

I usually clean up my yard, and put away most of the furniture. I'm glad that I never got around to doing it.......I'm thinking about having a BBQ, tonight for my daughter, before she goes back to school.

Wow you people are nuts. It is the rare day here in So. Cal when we can't do all these things you are talking about. Please do enjoy. Maybe more people will move there from here...we hope so.

I don't think I could live with a real four seasons...we have shorts and t-shirt (summer), shorts and t-shirt with a sweat shirt handy (spring/fall), and shorts and a t-shirt and keep a sweat shirt and wind breaker handy (winter). We need to layer because it is usually shorts and a t-shirt every day when the sun is out.

It's about 85 here in SW FL. About 15 degrees warmer than normal for here. We are to get a 'cold' front Monday or Tuesday, but even then the temps are only supposed to go down to 70 in the daytime...50's at night. Beaches are full right now. We can talk about Global Warming, but I'm sure Colorado and Denver would be very happy to see some of it now
