Icon on 51st street did in our fender the other day. We were lucky that it was on the visible side of the car when they brought it up. I have been trained to check the car over whenever getting it out of a garage, but am sometimes lazy.
They will likely take car of it, I need to get two estimates and submit them, then we'll see what happens. First estimate came in over $1100
So, remember to check your car carefully when they bring it up. And when they say "that looks old," or "that was there before," ask for the manager and insist on filing a claim. The bigger chains are all used to dealing with this.
An afterthought: I was glad we didn't use the valet at the Sheraton.. I think we'd have a harder time if the hotel and the garage started pointing fingers at eachother....
