BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

The Open is always around Labor Day. It starts off hot and humid and the ends up cool for the semis and finals. I was always amazed at how that worked and how the seasons changed on a dime.
Well, I haven't lived there since 1999. Maybe global warming has pushed out the onset of Fall. Heck, didn't fall extend into January this year?

The city is usually empty on Labor Day Weekend. Most people are either out east, or at the Jersey Shore, etc. It can still be pretty warm straight through September. And yes, we have had extremely mild weather until now. We're paying big for it though. It's been freezing, and I think it's here to stay for a while.Angela

They have great guacamole there. Mmmh. I'm getting hungry.

P.S. I'm thinking about taking a trip out there around Labor Day 2008 for the US Open.
I had beef fajita tostadas for lunch, piled high with guacamole, yummmm!

Pat,
We are only here for the night, sorry I forgot to check in with you first
No mexican food for us today, tyvm
It took us 35 minutes to drive in, and an hour and a half to get to the west side and finally find a parking lot that wasn't full. Quick lunch at a Chelsea patisserie, then to see a matinee of the Voysey Inheritance. Really great theatre, excellent play if you don't mind british accents (ok with us, but we heard someone complain). David Mamet adapted an old british play set in 1905 London, extremely well done.
Dinner at Serafina (the one on 55th street is excellent, the one downtown is awful, go figure), then to In the Heights thanks to Angela's 'sighting' a few weeks ago... we loved it, and DH d/n like many musicals.
No stay at MC would be complete without a nightcap in the Ava Lounge in the Penthouse of the Dream Hotel around the corner... now it's time for...
