  • In the Heights discount, $36.25 through 6/28

Angela and I both enjoyed this. Great for the whole family

IN THE HEIGHTS is a new musical about life in Washington Heights that has quickly become an audience phenomenon and Off-Broadway's hottest ticket! It's easy to see why: with an amazing cast, a gripping story and incredible dancing,
IN THE HEIGHTS is an authentic and exhilarating journey into one of Manhattan's most vibrant communities, called "SEXY, HILARIOUS and BURSTING WITH VITALITY and FRESHNESS" by the New York Post.

Find out what it takes to make a living, what it costs to have a dream, and what it means to be home, IN THE HEIGHTS.

"IN THE HEIGHTS has sharp comedy, dances that feel like they really might have come off the street, and a rich, kaleidoscopic score. In the way it thinks and the way it sounds, it could only have been written right here and now."
    -Jeremy McCarter, New York Magazine

Do you think my 7 year old boys would like this? I will be in NYC in May and could buy tix if the play is appropriate for them.

Gee, I'm not really sure. It might be a bit over their heads.....There is lots of contemporary singing, and dancing, in this play, if they like that kind of stuff.

This play was sort of West Side Story, meets rap/hip-hop music, if that makes sense.....Probably not, sorry!!

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

If they can sit and watch, and enjoy singing and dancing, then yes. There is nothing "inappropriate" in this show. They might miss some of the story/humor, but the dancing and music are great (a little rap, a lot of latin beat). If they are fidgety and need more "interactive" entertainment, then maybe wait.

If you can get balcony seats in the first row or two, they would be happy there, the set is two stories tall, so the balcony seats are good. The orchestra seats in the first few rows have you craning your necks up a lot...
