Pier 7 timeshare units (South Yarmouth)

We stayed at the Pier 7 Condos about a year ago. Units were basically two hotel rooms back to back. The decor was OK, amenities limited. No washer/driers on site--we had to go into town to find a laundromat. Office personnel were civil but not really welcoming. Location was pretty good--kind of half way up the "boot". The main negative was the back bedroom windows looked right out on the highway which means many many sirens going up and down the street all times of the day and night. We rated the resort a C, amenities a C minus, location B, office staff C minus. Probably wouldn't return to this one. However, we did have a great time--didn't get enough time to do it all so I'm sure that calls for a return visit!

            Cape things to see

Cape Cod's Online Maps, Aerials, and Satellite Images.

There are resorts in Falmouth,Mashpee,Hyannis,Yarmouth,Brewster,Dennis and Ptown/Provincetown and the islands. Summer trades are toughest.

            Which exchange co?

We own Brewster Green, friendly, plain but clean not, on a beach but next to Nickerson Park and the Rail Trail. Rare 2-3 bds on the Cape. Not a hotel conversion.

The Steamship Authority, Serving the Islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Ferry to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.

From Onset-cruise down the Cape Cod Canal

Concerts at the Melody Tent in Hyannis

Beaches and anything on the water

            Whale Watch from Provincetown

            Plimouth Plantation in Plymouth MA

Rte 6A is a country road with quaint shops and mom and pop places to eat like Captain Frostys. Small place, famous for fried clams.

Cape Cod Rail Trail is fun.

In Bourne-Lindsay's Seafood- you have to ask for the seafood/fisherman's platter for two. $34.99. It is not on the menu. Great chowder.

Actually Lindsay's is in Wareham, but the food is excellent. Sherri Lindsay used to be our neighbor and the restaurant is a class act. I know for a fact they only use the best ingredients. Make reservations otherwise you can have a very long wait on the weekends. Whenever we have visitors we always make a trip to Linsdey's...it's good, home cooking type food and a very clean atmosphere. I've never had a a meal that I wouldn't order again and no matter who we take there they all rave about the food.

You may also want to try the Black Cat on the Harbor in Hyannis. It is more upscale. The food is excellent and service wonderful. It is a place where my husband takes clients often for lunch. Glen Ream has done a beautiful job with the decoration and the menu has something for everyone.

If it's Italian you want, then go to Alberto's on Main Street in Hyannis. Food to die for! Lots of parking in the back so don't let Main Street put you off. Again reservations in the summer or the wait can be very long. Beautiful decor and excellent menu, food served as it should be. This place has been around for the 20 years I've lived here.

Mexican, anyone? Try Sam Diego's on Rt 28 near the Mall. Best Margaritas in town and the salsa is excellent. The menu has some unusual selections and everything I've ever had has been great. We did a birthday party there one year and the guests raved about the place.

Very Casual, Spanky's Clam Shack on the Harbor, even serve breakfast on the weekend. You can eat at a different place every meal every day for weeks.
We also have the Hooter's, Outback Steak House, Olive Garden and IHOP, but you're on vacation so try the local stuff.

IMHO The oceanfront units in Surfside Resort in Falmouth is the absolute best units on the Cape. Any other opinions?

                    This making me hungry.

We actually went there last night. I love Lindsey's; the food is always good, the salad always crisp and though not a fancy place, just darn good food and a good portion for your money. It was one of the few places my son would leave full when he was a teenager with the hollow leg!

Funny how the towns and zip codes are different for the same address. The building is physically in Wareham...you can walk to Buzzards Bay (300 yards) from the restaurant and of course Bourne and Buzzards Bay are the same place...only in Massachusetts! Bourne is the town, Buzzards Bay is the village inside the town...or that's how the Post Master explained it to me twenty years ago when I moved here. Wareham is in Plymouth County and the Bourne, Buzzards Bay are in Barnstable County; Cohasset Narrows Bridge divides the counties when on the Cranberry Highway.

I live in Bourne, but since both have the same zip code 02532 my mail comes addressed to either and I still receive it...can't they NOT deliver the bills???
