Our schools are open. DH and oldest DD went off to fight the good fight. Middle DD and youngest DD are staying home--it's supposed to start snowing by 11 or 12 hear, and I just can't cope with dragging them to school and then rescuing them in two hours.

Nothing happening weatherwise ib South Jersey but it sure is dark outside. We sometimes don't get much snow because of our closeness to the ocean. Just made bread in my breadmaker and getting ready to address Christmas cards. Sure glad I went to the store yesterday,

It was sleeting hard here in northern NJ. Not terrible, and now it seems to have stopped.

It just started here about a half hour ago, but it's snowing pretty hard. All schools were closed except my middle one's, but they had a very early dismissal and I didn't bother to send her.

As long as the power doesn't go out, I'm very happy to be here at home with forced relaxation!

That happens to my back too when it's wet out. Any joint that has had surgery seems to know when it's going to rain or snow!

Hopefully yours will feel better when the snow stops...just in time for you to shovel....

Yeah when the kids want snow we take an hour and a half drive to our local mountains....we finally have snow there this year. But at least we don't have to live with it.

                          Kids and snow go together.

It's practically nothing here. There's maybe an inch on the ground and I'm sure it's icy and all, but I'm kicking myself that I didn't send the kids to school.
