what would be the best week to reserve? We have a RHC ambassador suite and can reserve anything except Xmas, N-years, Easter, etc.
    Thanks, Greg

Fourth of July. Can you get it? If not, any week in July.

I think December would be very popular. People like to come in to see the tree, the windows, Radio City, etc.

Hotel rates in the city were at their highest this past spring and fall. Also December leading into xmas the city is jammed with tourists wanting to take in the holiday lights and shopping. Thanksgiving week also a big draw. Just avoid Jan/Feb and early March. And I respectfully disagree with Wacky, I don't think summer is as in demand as Spring/Fall/December except for families with school children, for whom NYC is not necessarily an ideal destination.

Are you able to split the week or does it have to be booked as consecutive 7 days?

I think in December a lot of the people on the streets are day-trippers, coming in for a day of shopping and seeing the sights, not so much tourists spending a whole vacation in the city. Anyway, yes, certainly plenty of demand all year round except for January, February (except President's Week might be good), and March, when it might be a bit lower.

Best weather to visit? May and Sept/Oct.

Thanks, 7 days only. I reserved Columbus week this year, Oct 11-18 and it rented already, I was wondering if I was lucky. Would the marathon week be good?

I wonder if there's huge family demand in late August/early September, when the new college students have to move in to their dorms at NYU and Columbia?

Not sure about the marathon, if it's end of October/first week in November should be ok, but the Manhattan Club weeks in RCI for that time frame sat a long time before getting picked up. Early October is better weather-wise, and anyone not involved in the marathon or coming to root for a loved one is crazy to try to get around that weekend.

This year I rented out Thanksgiving week through my RHC membership & it went very quickly. I got $1,400 for a one bedroom. It went so fast that I think I probably could have even gotten more if I asked for it.
