  • Frank.....I know that it was an enormous amount of work for you, but it all payed off in the end. You did a terrific job, and everyone had a wonderful time. It was a very nice thing to do for your church.....God is smiling on you today.

It was great to meet some new TS4M members, and to get to see some old friends. We all had a terrific time.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

      • I think I can name 3 in the picture. Lawren in the western shirt, Angela on the far left in the group picture, because I know she has long blond hair, Big Frank because I saw his picture and if there was a sting ray I could identify it but after that I'm clueless.

        • It was great to see everyone!! Sorry I couldn't stay -- and no, I did not get tied to a chair

Did anyone videotape Frank doing the auction? And did I win the Brunello?

Don't know if anyone taped Frank, but you didn't win the auction.

I don't remember what the bottle sold for, but the opening bid was $100.

Some of those bottles went for around $250, if I remember correctly.

            • Where is Big Frank today? I know he wasn't drinking during the auction but maybe he had a little something stashed away for the after hours party.

              • He looked wiped out. I hope he's relaxing somewhere and not thinking about wine in any way except as a nice beverage.

That's actually great -- means people were bidding far above the value, since it was really a charity event. I know the WinesTilSoldOut guys will be pleased, they sent nice bottles that made an impressive presentation.

                  And Frank donated the brunello...

Frank, you should be VERY proud, that was a major event and you pulled an awful lot of pieces together to make it great.

                  • As I'm sitting here eating the leftover wraps from wackymother (probably the best I've ever had-thank you very much ) I'm laughing at all the food we brought. I think we were the only ones that brought any food at all. I noticed people from the other tables were commenting about our delicious spread. Hey, we know how to do things right!

                        • The apple pies and the pecan pies were from Lawren. The pizza pies were from Frank.

                            • Pizza packs well in saddle bags too!

and I enjoyed Pat's homemade biscotti with my caffeine this morning.

Now I have to track down billymach and beg his wife for that spinach thing with the phyllo recipe.
