Hi all,
Been running round doing some errands today.
First of all I want to take a bow to Frank. He was really working his tail for his Church and School. It was really a great event!
It was also great to meet all of those TS4MS's members, spouse's, and friends that attended. As for the food, it was great! The wine, and beverages were fabulous. I took home a bottle of lemoncello. MMMmmmm.
I was happy that my wife came along to meet the group as well. My friend and coworker Silvia had a great time, and picked up some good TS tips. Silvia is really the reason I got the TS bug in the first place.
I really got a kick out of everyone when I opened up my HS yearbook and showed off the photos of Frank, and myself way back in the day. What a blast!!!
I have more photos, not all of them are ready for prime time, some I will try to edit. I have some of Frank at the podium but they are on the dark side. I will see if I can edit to make them brighter?
I hope you all enjoyed the Spanikopita. My wife is a fantastic cook in the kitchen. I have really been spoiled over the years. She can whip up dishes from all ethnic groups. Asian, Italian, Greek, Middle Eastern, the list goes on... Now my son is picking up on this talent. Needles to say I never go hungry around here.

As you may have seen from my login name, I am a wine maker, small batches, usually 5 gallons to 15 gallons. I have been doing this hobby for 20 some odd years. I have a couple dozen ribbons for my effort. I have taught winemaking, and attend a commercial wine tasting about once a month held by one of the wine stores. I have a few hundred bottles in my cellar, lots of my own, some good commercial wines, some very good commercial wines.
I have read some of the posts on the wine tasting, kind of envying the group on the eastern side of the country. You are able to keep in physical contact with each other, and know one another. I am still an outsider, outside the east coast, and relatively new to the group. This wine tasting was a great opportunity for more contact of forum members and of course for some wine tasting. Had the costs not been so high for me to attend the event, I would have loved to have been there to meet the group and enjoy the time.
It looks as everyone was set to enjoy the times, enjoy the food, enjoy the friends.
One question-in all the pictures, I see food, I see beer or other drinks. Where the heck was the wine?Don

Where the heck was the wine?
It was there, tho. It was set up on one side of the room. There were all kinds of wine for tasting, and purchasing, and I did start the night with a glass of Merlot.
Too bad you don't live closer. It would have been so nice to have gotten to meet you. You could have told us all that you know about wine making. Maybe one day they'll be a get-together closer to your location.Angela
If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Did anyone videotape Frank doing the auction? And did I win the Brunello?
As far as the auction goes, the brunello, I had thought when you said $100 for a bid that might win it. I was in total shock on every bottle that was sold in Auction. I believe there were no bottles that sold for less than $200. The Brunello sold for $220 it had about a $100 value, of course I purchased it for less than that.
All the Ruffinos went betten $200 and $250

Ok then , If you make it, where is my wine.
WE tried to add things to the event. Last minute the beer dist got a hold of Soporo beer. They gave out free tasting all night at no charge, They did not sell it but they did give many beer cans away. WE also had the Beer dist selling beer pluse my close friend Sal who travels with me and is a member here was running the martini bar with his daughter who just happened to be bar bar maid at the airport. What was another great add in at the end was the Lemoncello stand. This guy came form Philly on 1 days notice. I found out we was coming about 8 hours before the event started. This event I was tring to put together for 4 years and for some reason it never took off with the old President. John who just happened to be realted to Pat(That was a shocker to everyone) Gave me a chance to put it together. So I called in for some favors, The wine Distrubiter is a friend I know for many years. The beer Dist is my Cousin, The Cigars were from my Cigar bar that I hang out in. At first it was just going to be a wine tasting but it turned out to be a lot more than that. This could never have been done with out the new group of memebers that just happen to be my Closest friends that helped out, Sal, Franco and Anothony. There is a Pic of Franco standing next to my wife and his wife. I wish my friend Sal and Anthony would have been in the picture.
I do need a few days to recover. I did not drink but I think I found pain.Timeshareforums Shirts and Mugs on sale now! http://www.cafepress.com/ts4ms

BTW I can not believe I missed out on home made Bisscoti. You guys had so much good looking food there I wish I had time to sit and try it all. What was funny was when I looked at that huge table for 20 people you could not see the table, It was fully covered with food. In fact I do not think there was room to put a drink down.
Craig My wife want the receipe for the Sausage dip. Mayebe you can post it in the Recipe forum.Timeshareforums Shirts and Mugs on sale now! http://www.cafepress.com/ts4ms

Frank,
I took a picture at the end of the evening using my cousin John's camera of all 6 of the 'organizing' guys - ask him to email it to you and post it here.
Thanks again for a wonderful time

I almost forgot , I would like to send a Thank you for Garry for spending a night with us. He was only here for a short time and took a day out of his short schedule to meet us. I also would like to thank him for the Real Irish Whiskey he gave me. I was so close to donating it for auction but I really wanted it. If I would have been able to drink at the event I would have enjoyed opening it up there and having a shot with you all.Timeshareforums Shirts and Mugs on sale now! http://www.cafepress.com/ts4ms
