  • 6-10 " of snow predicted for NY, today!

I just heard that the amounts of snow expected for New York, has been upgraded to 6 - 10 inches.

I know that I should be happy that we really haven't had much snow this year, but still. 10 inches, and then freezing rain, on top of it. Yuck!!!

This is why DH won't let me plan a vacation this week. It ALWAYS does something. Usually a blizzard.

Yes, and the Today Show was on location in Miami. So I was watching them on the beach while I saw snow coming down out my window. I was so jealous! My kids are happy though. The little one is already outside playing. Better break out the hot cocoa!

They say we will only get about 9" here, w/o any freezing mixed stuff. We have now set a new state record for the highest precipitation for a February on record and there is still a week to go.

Currently 77 and sunny here in SW Florida; dropped all the way down to 69 last night! Selling my snow blower and moving here was the best move I ever made. I do still have a snow shovel. The movers were using it to keep a path to the truck clear; we moved during a snow storm last year and they tossed it on the truck when they were done packing.

Here in Indy we were supposed to get a pounding, but just a couple fluffy inches last night. On my way to work this morning, the freezing rain had started.

I have a connection, Pat Pagano. Not to say that he's always right, tho, he's not.....No surprise there.

We are in central New Jersey and our kids could not be happier. They are out there building snowmen with neighbors right now. My daughter has been waiting a few months for a good snow like this. The precip has stopped and we have a nice number of inches. It's great to watch from the window. DH called home and was wishing he could be here too. I guess I'll have to get out there for a bit, just to be a good sport.
We are actually really blessed here, I grew up in central Canada where the snow doesn't melt for about 4 months. I think we can survive a few days.

I am driving from the cape at 7 to catch a 10 am ferry from New London - it seems the worst will be over tonight...

                              We got hammered in PA

It's a mess here in the greater Philadelphia area...took me TWO HOURS to get to work (normally a 50 min ride) - like an idiot I didn't bring my computer home...hadn't checked the weather before leaving the office. Rats!

Our little girl was OVER THE MOON when she saw the winter wonderland outside - such a yankee.....I know she's mine, but wonder still....she does LOVE GRITS, so there is a little of me in there somewhere. She was soaked to the bone when I got home this afternoon and grinning like a Cheshire cat. Glad someone is loving this.....still sleeting tonight, but the roads are better.

I'm hoping 9AM kids drama class is cancelled...could use the sleep.

                              Gnight all!
