Spence right now no one has yet to vote on the restaurant. I will call Candela to find out what time the Brunch is. Let me ask what time is good for you?

Let's just change and get rid of the restaurant poll as brunch seems to be working.

        Candelas for Brunch.

        I could eat breakfast 3 times a day, 7 days a week.

Frank I noticed they didn't have the hours listed....so once you find those out we can poll for a time.

I may be able to join you but will have to play it a bit by ear. (I may have to be back home by 5:00 or so...which means I would have to leave by 3:30 or 4:00.)

I was just informed that Josie has booked a tour of Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty for Sunday morning at 9:30 am, I told her we would be doing dinner so she didn't check with me before booking the tour. Do you know how long these tours take? We will rush the tour if we have to, sorry for the inconvience.

Ken do you have a # that I can call for the tour? I will try to find out what time it is over and make the reservations around both you and Spence. Btw Sharon might also be coming in.

Brunch is from 11:30am to 5pm. I think 1:30 might work out for all. Ken I just need to find out how long your tour is.

Sunday brunch is out at Candelas. The restaurant has a private party during the day and will not open again until after 5pm. Back to Ollies unless there is another place that is suggested for Brunch.

A while back someone posted about Brunch at Petrossian, $26 prix-fixe, here's the menu, brunch is available 11 - 4 and they have a guy to call for group reservations. It's on my list of "stuff to do," but we haven't gotten there yet. NOT kid-friendly, so if anyone was planning on bring their kids to meet a bunch of strangers from the internet, this won't work

Ollie's is fine w/me, btw. BUT I called 1-866-STATUE, they said they Statue tour is only about 30 minutes, but that the Statue plus Ellis Island (different places) should allow for 4 hours NOT including the ferry back and forth. Ellis Island is self-guided, so you might be able to spend less time there. Ken, do you a 9:30 TOUR, or are you getting the ferry at 9:30? First tour is at 9:45. Recommended to be at the ferry at least an hour or 1:15 before your tour time. You could probably shave off a little since it's still cold and there should be less waiting, but ya never know.

I think if we shoot for a 2pm to 3pm or a 2:30pm we should all be OK to make it. Place does not matter to me. Whatever you guys want to go I am fine with but I think we have to decide tonight since Ken will be flying in Friday and may not be online.

Frank three would not work for Sharon , Spence or I.

I could always hook up with you all afterwards for drinks at Manhattan Club or an authentic NYC dive I know of with cheap drinks over on Eighth Ave.

I am still trying to come up with good brunch places. The short coming is I spent most of my 25 year career south of Houston St and most of that in Tribeca.

Walkers used to have a brunch and there is always the famous "Odeon" but that would not be prixe fixe and pretty pricey.

I'll call Walkers. They are on Varrick and N Moore.

Lawren see if you can pick a place and time that you think may work out. I myself would be good just to meet up in the MC for drinks. I would not mind seeing how the bar is now.

                              Frank ,

Walkers is faxing me their Brunch Menu. It is a teriffic place ( just 2 blocks from the AT&T HQ, we lived there ). It has been a tavern since 1877. Easy off the Canal St "E" station. Reasonably priced.

The film Ghost Busters was done at the firehouse just across the street.

The name of the ferry if Circle Line Ferries. We are getting on the ferry at 9:45am. If ellis island is a self guided tour, we should be able to make lunch, I dont know how long it takes to see ellis island and the statue of liberty. Our flight will be leaving at 8pm so we will be leaving our home at 6pm, you know all that security at the airport. I will be in a rush that evening so I will be on this site right before we leave to check the postings for any updates. :
