And y'all say Vegas is hot. We got up to 92º today for about an hour late afternoon. Its 86º now, at 8:15 PM, with 6% humidity. You know, its a dry heat. It really does make a difference. We all commented today on how moderate its been so far this year. I guess you guys are having our weather.

Cherry Hill was mid 90's so we drove to Atlantic City for 74 degrees.

Yeah, instead of feeling like you're in a steam room, you feel like you're in an oven.

More like a clothes dryer...but I love it. I could never live in a humid place. I don't glow well.

Took GS to Baltimore Inner Harbor yesterday on bus. 2 1/2 hr ride. No air conditioning on bus on way home. Intollerably hot. Stopped 1 hr out of Baltimore and ordered new bus. Had to come from NY. Some of us chose to continue in hot bus (too tired) and some waited for new bus. Like riding 2 1/2 hrs in a sauna.

Wow, today is even too hot for me, and that takes a LOT.

                100 tomorrow.

It was 84 degrees here at 8:30A, we still rode as we were under the trees and there was a slight breeze but UGH.

Holy Moly.....It's a hot one today. Don't know why I choose the hottest day of year, so far, to putz around in the garden, but I did.....I had to give it up. I'm out of breath, soaking wet, and feel like burnt toast. I had sun block on, but from the looks of my face, neck, and arms, it doesn't appear that it was very effective.

PS....I had flip-flops on, and I just realized that the tops of my feet are extremely burnt. I never even thought to put sun block on my feet.

Most of the schools in CT had early dismissal because of the sudden onset of summer. Current temp is 94 in my neck of the woods with a real feel of >100 degrees. other areas of CT are higher, anticipated real feel of upwards to 108 with the humidity.

Getting warm here too. It is 71 now, going to be up as high as 74 today

We don't even have an 80 deg day in the next 10 day forcast.

At this rate, the tomatoes are never going to grow.

Be ready just in case of a black out. Put as many ice packs in your freezer that it will hold. Have flash lights and candles ready. And be ready for a baby boom 9 months from the black out date,

I actually planted tomatoes this year, 4 different types. Also planted peppers, cucumbers, basil, & parsley. I don't know what I'm doing, so wish me luck.

I'm trying to get ready. We lost electricity yesterday, and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it goes out again today.

Similar problems over here in the UK at the moment. Temperatures into the low 80s which is high for us at any time of year. Forecast is for it to be back down to about 60 by Thursday. That's probably summer over for another year
