Mayor is asking for us to conserve our energy. The Schools are being asked to turn lights off. From what I heard some areas have gotten black outs and we can be next.

Another hot one today! The heat index has been at around 112 every day since this started last week. We are keeping all the shades down and a/c is running non stop. Changed a/c filters. Ice packs ready. Bought lots of water just in case. Most sports have been cancelled or postponed but my son is supposed to have a playoff game tonite.
If the kids are not in school they are in the pool! (if this keeps up that will turn into bath water!)

The schools here are almost all having half-days today. The kids are melting, and the teachers are really melting. It's HOT.

Hottest day of the heat wave today, early school dismissals, pleas for energy conservation and now a tornado watch until 6 PM. I've been working outside all day and I'm wiped out. Maybe lunch will revive me.

Order a few foot italian combo heros and to hell with the BBQ. But maybe you'll sweat off about 10 pounds if you cook. Not gonna be pretty though.

I wish I had just done a hero. I have all the meat ready to go. I am doing it for the Church so it is for a good cause.

I have a little hand held fan/mister that I got as a welcome gift when I went to the Marriott beach towers in Ft Lauderdale. I just finshed putting water in and the batteries and I am ready to take on the Q.
