I am on the phone with Tony, He did not take my advice about stuffing the freezer with ice packs. I bet he wishes he did now. He lost power at about 10pm last night and he has no idea when power is coming back on.

We lost power from 10 to 3:30 in the morning...so at 3:30 in the morning, every light in the house came popping on. A friend down the street had her tree hit by lightning, and lightning damage to her house, and the tree fell on a neighbor's car, and on the power wires....

Taking youngest DD to school, the sidewalk was blocked by a HUGE maple that had split in two during the storm--we could see right into the heart of the tree, and it was all solid and healthy-looking, so this was a sound tree with a two-foot trunk that just got blown by the wind.

We heard a weird whoooo---oooaaaahhh moaning, whooshing sound during the storm last night. Some people are thinking we had mini-tornadoes or something, much more than a normal thunderstorm.

Wacky, I think it was a Tornado, They said it on the news there were Tornado warnings.
