For those of you beating the mandatory fees and checking in (or out) on Friday, here's some Irish Pub info. There's also a $20 "all you can drink" special (6 pm to midnite) at Soho 323 on Broadway b/t Grand and Canal streets...

The better one is to hit a place that's so Irish it makes the competition green with envy. Knocking back Paddy Reilly's (519 2nd Ave.; 212.686.1210) well-poured $6 Guinness pints certainly beats working and the live music is pretty damn blarney too—whatever blarney means. Fitzgerald's (336 3rd Ave.; 212.679.6931) crowd's young and fun, and they should be drunk before sunset on this special day, as well as most others. Emerald Inn (205 Columbus Ave.; 212.874.8840) is everyone's favorite Upper West Side bar, which isn't saying a lot, but it's still pretty great. Finally, Wall Street's Full Shilling (160 Pearl St.; 212.422.3855) is as Irish as Conan O'Brien eating Lucky Charms."
