  • Excuse me but WHEN exactly did I move to Miami?

    This is getting ridiculous.

I have lived in NY all my life <with a few stints in other places> and I don't EVER recall the weather we have been having.

Every single morning is gorgeous. Drop dead gorgeous. Blue skies, clear as a bell. Every single afternoon between 3 and 5 we have been getting heavy downpours and thunder for about an hour.

Then it goes away and the evening is back to drop dead gorgeous.

Not typical NY weather at all.

Count your blessings. I wish we would see the sun once in a while in the Boston area. As I type we're having another thunderstorm.

I agree, we are having an unusual summer. Lots of afternoon thunderstorms. Of course I was only out for a short time this afternoon, and got caught in one. No umbrella.

So far, not many dog days of summer to complain about tho.

if the weather would stay like this year round, I'd gladly settle for a daily shower. Ok, deluge.

            Lawren...get Off The Computer

You are suppose to be in the basement hiding from the freakin' tornado!

Every day my DH says, "I am going to go on the boat this evening" and every evening the THUNDER and LIGHTENING starts.

                Tornado?

Yesterday I thought, maybe... as the wind came from the wrong direction. Today was just deluge again. Over now.

DH was in NYC yesterday and kept calling asking if it was raining here in Central NJ, 40 miles south of NYC
NO RAIN at all. Heard a little thunder, once.........
I guess we are not zoned for it.

Today it's a kind of gray sunny day, but no rain, no thunder...

We did have that rainy weather pattern when we were in Vermont (which is no fun at all when you plan to swim and hike. They got 3x as much rain as they normally get in July, close to 10").

Frank I have spent a lot of time in Miami in my life and yeah it rains there, especially in the afternoons in summer. Violenty. To the point people pull over on the interstates and then it's over.

This summer has reminded me of my time there.

Another deluge here around 4 PM. Just got in from working on the somewhat washed out driveway. 4th wettest July ever recorded and we already are over the August average. I'll take it over '55 tho.
