  • Cape Cod lunch/dinner recommendation?

We are leaving tomorrow for P-Town for a few days, hoping to stop for lunch somewhere on the way. Any recommendations for a nice spot for a late lunch around the Western part of the Cape? Outdoor seating/on the water a plus.

Also any dinner recommendations in P-Town would be appreciated.

    Thanks

there ARE A FEW PLACES IN p TOWN THAT i ATE AT BUT i DON'T RECALL THE NAMES. Oops cap was locked There are a few nice places in Dennis port and if you want Chinese there was a nice town before you go over the bridge , I always try to stop in Newport on the way home and spend the day. If you do that make reservations at Castle hill, It will be something you will never forget.

We love the Post Office Cafe on Commercial Stereet in P'town. If you are hungry along the way try the The Yarmouth House (in Yarmouth) excellent dinners and nice lunches. It's near the Cove Resort. DH loves the Old Jailhouse Tavern in Orlenas.

Here's a link to some of the restaurnsats...as you will see some have links to the actual restaurant home page

Any Hearth n Kettle is good, solid food. They are nothing fancy, but just a good meal for the $.

Enjoy P'town. Where are you staying?

Thanks, all. I printed out some of the restaurants, and will look to stop at either Yarmouth or Orleans, but we are getting a later start than anticipated

Staying at a B& B, Gabriel's at the Ashbrooke Inn.

Clancy's Dennis location has wonderful views - it is on a river with marshlands - really nice!

I know you might be pressed for time but if you can add 2 hours in, take the long way to P town that means off the main hwy and take the road that passes the oceans and small towns. We enjoyed this a lot and if it gets to be night fall go to the drive in.

Well, we got such a late start that we ended up stopping in Mystic instead. We had a nice lunch at the S&P Oyster House, nothing to write home about but it was a convenient stopping point and we did get to sit outside by the water.

Joy, we had a fabulous breakfast at the Post Office cafe yesterday before heading home. Opted for that instead of the breakfast at our B&B, which was unremarkable (the room was great, but I would probably try someplace else next time for a more personal B&B feel and a better breakfast).

The other places we liked a lot were Enzo and the Patio.

Avery, I didn't even think of asking you to lunch or dinner here. We live right over the Bourne Bridge on the Cape side and it would have been right on your way.

May I recommend the Crowne Pointe Inn, Hotel, Inn, Bed and Breakfast, Spa, Provincetown, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Other than this being a beautiful Inn the food is excellent. I don't remember them doing breakfast, but there are so many places to grab breakfast.

I'm glad you liked the Post Office; it is a place we have been known to drive to from Bourne (home) to have lunch.

The Crowne Pointe Inn is definitely on my short list for next time. I had intended to go to dinner there, but we never made it. It was a short way down the road from where we stayed, and it looked very nice. With only two full days, it really wasn't enough time.

We will meet up one of these days, Joy. The timing wouldn't have worked this trip anyway, but I will definitely be going back to PTown.
