Good luck to the owners of Gurney's. It's not going to be an easy fight, but I sure hope that you guys win.....It's hard to imagine Montauk, without Gurney's.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Not sure if the owners want but I would be willing top set up a Gurneys Hoa forum. It can be set to private or open for all.

That's a great offer Frank, I will send a link to Pat Boffa to let her know.

We no longer own at Gurney's as we are some of the people who just couldn't keep up with the increases....but for those who are owners, hoping to keep their weeks, the group that is organizing is trying to gather as many names as possible to join the battle.

Someone should check NY corporate law. Most HOA's are set up as non-profit corporations, and most corporate laws provide mechanisms to obtain a list of all members names and addresses for proper purposes. Gathering names should consist of obtaining that list.

Good luck on winning the fight!

The Gurney's people would not give up the list to the owners' group. The owners had to take it to the Attorney General to get the list out of them.

Yes, the group turned to the NYAG and only then did the management company provide the list of owners. Now the effort is focused on informing the owners so that the management doesn't just push their own agenda.

It seems that there have been some small victories for the Gurney's owners who are trying to push back on management's efforts.

It seems that the Nov meeting was canceled by management, and there are rumors that further special assessment has been "postponed."
