  • Huge brand new Tanger outlet mall in Long Island and new outlets in NJ

I was at the new Tanger outlets 2 miles off exit 51, What a great job they did. The stores look great , It is not fully open and food is hard to come by since they have not yet fully opened. If you get a chance to go you Will love it. http://www.tangeroutlets.com/
I also heard on the radio this morning that they opened up a new outlet mall in the Jersey Shore at Teten Falls.

Is Tanger kind of a developer? We had three Tanger outlet malls in easy drive from the area, now all are some other brand of outlet mall.

That will cut a good chunk of time off my drive - the Riverhead one is too far to visit unless doing a major shopping. But I bet the new location is going to be mobbed, it's so much more central. Thanks for the heads up, Frank!

We were there Tuesday and it was mobbed already. I suggest parking the car at the last end parking lot. The ones in front were packed and it is easier to get to the stores from the last lot. It is just off 231 in Deer Park, . You make a left at the Grand Blvd st which is easy to miss, Just look for the 2 gas stations 1 was I think Hess and the other was I think Citgo which If I recall they are 2.2 miles from the exit. There is also a huge movie theater there as well.

We went on Sunday of last week. It seems that the parking over where the Christmas Tree Store is was much more busy than if you park at the other end and walk. The Christmas Tree Store was packed, with a line to get in. The rest of the outlets were managable. Food: Nathans hotdogs on a push cart and Mexican for now. Other restaurants should be opening in the future.

I was there yesterday. The place looked like a ghost town.

Good to know that it is not crowded like it was before the holidays.

Were all the stores now open?

I was there about a week ago on a weekend. It was not crowded, but there were people there. We waited 1/2 hour to eat at Johnny Rockets. We had never been there before, so wanted to try it. Once is enough for us! I lo0ve the Christmas Tree Shop!

I haven't been to the new Tanger yet, but I've been to Johnny Rockets in the Broadway Mall.....It's definitely not for me. Way too loud, and I'm not wild about the food, either.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.
