Best Cape Cod RCI affiliated resorts

I have a RCI week that I have to use before 11/09 and dont want it to expire unused like the one I just lost

I would like some suggestions for best resorts to try to exchange into...I am very familiar with the Cape as I lived down there for a few years back in the '70's....I am just not familiar with the timeshares down there....

The Cove @ Yarmouth is an RCI Silver Crown resort in an ideal location (although not on the beach) that offers a full complement of resort features. it one of the few purpose built timeshares on the Cape - not a motel/hotel/apartment conversion. We enjoy it every time we visit.

Many of the timeshares on the Cape are converted motel units. Most are plain accommodations. There are also restrictions on kitchens.

The best depends on your criteria.

The best for me were two bedroom units with a full kitchen.

Then there is location, which can restrict it a bit further, I prefer lower to mid Cape location. And then there can be exchange availability which can toss everything else out the window.

The RCI Directory has enough information to help you choose what to aim for if you know the Cape roadways.

Brewster Green 2 bd mid cape 1200 st ft-not on the beach

Cape Cod Holiday Estate-Mashpee 2 bedroom houses -not near the beach-no internet access though. Right near Mashpee Commons and Roche Brothers Market

Cove at Yarmouth- lots of amenities, kitchen with no oven-read reviews-Right on Rt 28 S Yarmouth.

Do not trade for Club at Cape Cod. We went there this fall-just awful but the folks were great. Near the beach but an old hotel conversion

Although it's admittedly in a bit of a "snooze" location and not very near any beaches, Brewster Green is a good bet, in my opinion. Far enough away from the congestion of Hyannis and the Yarmouths, with reasonable proximity to Chatham, Orleans and the towns of the "lower" Cape. Competently managed by VRI too, which I see as a plus. Whether or not you can successfully trade into the place during the summer months might very well be another story, however...

The old TUG questions, what is important to you, what are you trading and when would you like to go, and I suppose what would you settle for.

I only live 2 hours north of the Cape and have flexibility of going there on short notice....I was thinking of putting in a search from May thru September on 1 or 2 of the top resorts and just leave it in for even last minute deals. If around Yarmouth, I would want
ocean front. I have stayed in Brewster several times but not at a timeshare. I prefer lower Cape to Hyannis or Falmouth.We would probably be beaching it a couple of days and
also golfing 2 or 3 days. What about Marthas Vineyard or Nantucket???
Anything there ever become available last minute???
My trader is a dog so it probably will not pull anything in advance.

Harbor Hill in P'town is in my opinion the best on Cape Cod. We usually go off season for DHs B'day. Second, again my opinion is Brewster Green. Nice house type units, spacious and a decent location for going down Cape. Then you could try Eastwood at P'town. I have bot stayed there but the location is decent and you may get a May or September week.

The Harwichport has a nice in town location, but I believe it to be a converted motel. The upside is you can walk to many restaurants and again May or September should be available.

The Edgewater Beach Resort in Dennisport has excellent reviews and it is on the beach. I think the units have kitchens and some I believe have fireplaces.

Sea Winds II in Dennisport is recently affiliated and is a VRI resort. If your weak trading week is VRI affiliated you would get priority trading....

Now, depending on far down Cape you want to be you may think about the Ocean Club at Smugglers Beach. It's in South Yarmouth and it is also on the beach.

Since you want to stay more down Cape, I'll end here. As far as Nantucket there Tristram's Landing; they do show up at times for last minute. These seem to be basic, but they are roomy. Brant Point Courtyard is more convenient to the Wharf as is Mariner House. Both are in a more walking location than Tristram's, in my opinion.
