    Best show in NYC

    The Blue Man Group

They run their show in a small theater. If you've never seen them before, make time and go to the show. Don't read about it or try to get advance warning, just go. My goodness, it was fun.

My sweetie and me wanted to go for a couple of years and finally got the chance last June. That was worth the trek to NYC to see.

Plus, the walk through the neighborhoods....

The Blue Man Group runs their show out of a small theater in one of the artsiest neighborhoods that I've seen. Nice fun walk. And look for a good restaurant. We ended up in a great Indian restaurant that is well-known, but has 3 identical Indian restaurants all around it (in the same building!!) ushering you in and telling you, 'yeah, we're that restaurant...'

PS then you can then take the subway down to Brighten Beach / Coney Island, eat at one of the Russian Restaurants ( even better food than my DW's Russian food and her's is great) on the boardwalk, then walk the boardwalk to coney Island and take the subway home from there.
          Sounds great, Bill.

"Jazz at Lincoln Center" was one of my highlights in NYC. I really liked that and stayed twice until it was finished. I liked it better than the "Blue Note" which is quite famous but it was too loud for me with so much amplification. Of course, you'll have to like Jazz.

New York and the shows and the Lincoln Center are such a treat. The best performers are here. Walking in Manhattan late at night and feel safe about it was exciting too. This city never sleeps.

Try meeting some great TS4Mrs or TUGgers! That was another highlight for me.

Do a tour of the Federal Reserve Building (advance reservations needed). I just loved the sight of a roomful of gold bars.

I will be at the Marriott Manor Club April 4-11 and may take a day trip to Washington DC, but NYC is pretty far.

I love jazz, and I also like walking on the Upper West Side late at night. In fact, I think that on my first NY trip in 1985, I spent a night or two on Columbus Avenue, admiring the late-open shops and the crowds.

One of my favorite things to do is to go to the "Cast Party" at Birdland every Monday night. I thought the Blue Note was great, as well.

Are those back on? They stopped after 9/11, I was bummed because my son's class trip got canceled.

Hoc, have you decided what the most astonishing thing is to do in NYC for each of you?

I noticed too that you met some of the TS4Mrs while you are in the city as I saw the pictures.

                            Enjoy your stay!

What could be more astonishing than meeting fellow members?

Sorry I was able to make it.

You missed a nice gathering SBB - but enjoy your trip to MMC.
