Coming in October/November 2009

Richard Thompson and Loudon Wainwright III, long time friends and collaborators commence their first ever North American tour together for the 2009 / 2010 season. While they have performed and recorded together intermittently over the years, this will be their first full scale North American tour together. Be prepared for a once in a lifetime concert event when they join forces on the same bill.

3 October Burlington, VT - Flynn Center
4 October Cambridge, MA - Sanders Theatre
8 October Tarrytown, NY - Tarrytown Music Hall
9 October Red Bank, NJ - Count Basie Theatre
10 October Westhampton Beach, NY - Westhampton Beach PAC
12 October Wilmington, DE - Grand Opera House
13 October Towson, MD - Kraushaar Auditorium

I had him in mind. But you should go with!!! Loudon Wainwright is great, too. Also funny ("Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road..."), remember him from M.A.S.H.?

I first saw Loudon Wainwright III while I was a graduate student at Syracuse University...what a fun night at Jabberwocky that was. He occasionally showed up on M.A.S.H., and I recently saw him on another show, but can't remember which...he was playing his guitar.
I'd definitely see these two.

Complaining that he would rather see the Thompson at McCarter...
Complaining that he doesn't want Wainwright.

Wants to go see RT in London playing one day with all remaining Fairport Convention members and the next day with Incredible String Band. Ok so that is not so do-able... be happy with THIS. He'd never have known if not for you...Next time I"m not going to tell him a thing.But thanks anyway, once he gets tired of whining he will be happy to go I'm sure.

Richard is great when he plays with other people, I think the Loud and Rich tour sounds like great fun. And who wouldn't want to go see him that weekend in London, that would be awesome! Every year Fairport does a big reunion in England, the Cropreddy Festival, Richard T is always there - I've been wanting to go since I was in college. One day...
