Pod cast tours

Hoc,

I was reading a article recently about some Pod cast tours that are available. Several were available for different areas of NYC. They sounded interesting. If you have an Ipod or mp3 player you might consider it.

We will touch base when your here or before, Do you still have my #. I know of some good bars in fact maybe we can have a TS4ms bar night. This would be one of the first bar nights that I know of. Oneils is a great place to go to in Maspeth, alot of sports players go here. Also for the best NY burger at a cheap price. Donavans of Woodside or Bayside(2 locations) is another great spot. I like Bayside better since we can bar hop there and it is a much better area. Both places are listed in the link below

Unless things have changed dramatically parking in Bayside is wicked hard and full of the younger crowd syurveying the meat ( or is it meet? ) markets there on Bell BLVD.

Sounds like Hoc is doing public transit. W'burg may be the better for him although also not easy to park in and much harder for me to get to. If I'm invited that is.

is my favorite but there is a good steak place ear here to.

As far as getting around. Greenpoint has easy access to the train. The ones in the city are easy to get to. Donovan's in Bayside is right near the Lirrr station and the one in woodside is off the 7 train. Oneils I could pick you up at the 7 train stop. We could in fact go to Donavains for burgers and then go to Oneils.

In Bayside I have a parking lot. We could park the cars in Lloyds Funeral home as my best friend is the MGR there and would go out with us too.

Hoc, like me you're a music lover. Cyndi Lauper is in Three Penny Opera at the Roundabout Theater which is the old Studio 54. I am sooo jealous that you'll be in NYC and can see her...the limited run ends June 18, so I won't be able to see it (I don't go to NYC til August...boo hoo). Cyndi is getting good reviews but the play is long & critics aren't wild about the staging & other elements. But they all seem to love Cyndi! Go and then post to tell me all about it so I'll get green with envy!

I am going on May 10th. The reviews are SO bad (New York Magazine even skewered Cyndi), so I am not expecting much and can only be happily surprised; New York critics can be brutal, but when they all agree I tend to find they aren't far off... I will try to remember to post after, but drop me a pm if you don't hear from me.

I saw Cindi Lauper from the 4th row center Orch in Jones beach with Cher. I know she grew up near my house but She has no class. She sat with a short dress on a chair with her legs spread apart for half the concert. I did get to shake her hand when she came to the audience.

I am going to be at MC around May 19-26 with a couple of university friends for the weekend and probably solo after that since they have to go back to work I had to work pretty hard to keep that week free but there are some client rumblings about time and things I need to do etc.

I want to visit some nice restaurants. Those university friends came and visited me when I was living in NYC in 2000 and we had a very nice meal at Gramacy Tavern. My favourite from those days were Gotham Bar and Grill on 12 E 12 st... Anyone can tell me how they are today and maybe suggestions for 1 splash dinner?

Mary I can not say comment on the restaurants you mention other than i have heard about Gotham bar and grill. If you want a top Steakhouse go to
http://www.unclejacks.com/ IMO it is the best steakhouse in NY. Also the most expensive. An aged Kobe rib steak is $100, Regular aged is $45. Appetizers are expensive to but worth every penny. Service is of coarse 5 star.

I'd love to, but I have four others with which to contend, and, unless the tickets are half price or the reviews are raves, I doubt that I'll be able to persuade them to go.
