I for one have enjoyed this nice mild summer in South Florida. Okay so the rain is going north but hopefully that means we won't get any hurricanes.

The beach has been beautiful in Hollywood this week at Enchanted Isle. A nice cool breeze all afternoon and night. Have been eating all my meals out over the beach and no mosquitoes and flies this year.

    What a nice blessing.

Sure go ahead rub it in.

So now you know what we experience every summer in the Pacific Northwest! We are having the best hot weather - does not happen often.

But, I will be in DC and NYC August 5-14. It is always record hot temperatures when I am there in the summer. I'n bringing the heat!!

Its been weird weather all over the US. We had a cooler than average June, and then July turned out to be the 6th hottest on record.

Today on the weather, they were showing the 7-day forecast, as they always do. For Thursday they had a *snowman*. Honestly, a snowman. Why? It will "only" be 99º, after weeks and weeks of 105+.

Lawren, I think you were posting weather warnings, weren't you? We get extreme weather warnings when the temp is forecast to be 112 or more. We also get flash flood warnings and watches this time of year.

Still and all, I'd rather my extreme weather than yours.

Peoria, IL had the coolest July on record. It's 66 this AM. It's nice to go outside and not feel you're in a sauna. We have had over 30" of rain; normal is 20". I love not hearing the AC run too often & the associated utility bill. Great weather for outside work, and motorcycle rides; just have to dodge the showers.

Its about *:25 Am. The temperature (at the nearby school, not the "official temp at McCarren) is 89º. The low of the day, which was about 5 AM, was 83º.

My sister is coming to visit from Southern California. The high temperature where she lives is about the same as our low...

The snowman is amusing Fern celebrating under 100.

Yes I was posting weather warnings we've been getting more than our share of them but today is beautiful. I could just use a week of solid beautiful weather for a change. I'm off to enjoy it.

Here in eastern PA we're looking at breaking the 90 degree mark for the first time since April! We've had so much rain people are joking about building an ark. The only time the weather was decent (sunny, though still a little unseasonably cool) was when we were in FL (first three weeks of July). I think the rain followed us. We had torrential downpours almost the entire time we were there! I told my DH we need to market ourselves as rainmakers and offer to travel to places where rain is needed!

Yeah, it's been a miserable summer, so far, and I doubt that Aug will be much better. Who knows, maybe we'll get lucky and have a great Indian Summer this year.....I can hope!

Marti - Yeah, I'd move to the Williamsburg area in a heartbeat. I absolutely love it there. My DH has too many emotional ties to this area - even to consider retiring there.
