  • Help - what to do in Boston in wind & rain?

We'll be in Boston Sun, Mon. Tues. Sunday's forecast is for wind & rain. Any suggestions for sightseeing in bad weather? TIA

Any kids? The Museum of Science and New England Aquarium were fun.

Adults may like the Bristol at the Four Seasons for formal tea - something different.

Ugh, sorry that you're getting such bad weather on you trip. We're having terrible weather in NY, too.

You can go to Faneuil Market Place. From there, it's about a 5 minute walk to the New England Aquarium, The Children's Museum, The Old State House, and Paul Revere's House

        Faneuil Hall Marketplace

        Welcome to Faneuil Hall Marketplace

It's the seat of American history and the site of one of America's most famous shopping and dining experiences, Faneuil Hall Marketplace. For over 250 years, the marketplace has played an integral role in the life of Boston's residents. So if you are ready to see, taste, and touch a true Boston experience, come to the historic and exciting Faneuil Hall Marketplace.

The art museum is good too. And I definitely recommend the science museum as well.

Make sure you're hungry when you go to Faneuil Hall.

Keep in mind that the Red Sox season is over. Now if you want to head down to New York, you can still catch a Yankee game.

When you're at Faneuil Hall buy 1/2 price day of show tickets at the Bostix booth. Cash only.

I don't know what your sales tax situation is where you live, but clothes and shoes are not taxed in Massachusetts. You could go shopping.

This thread is making me want to visit Boston again, soon.

I hope that whatever you decided to do, you're having a great time.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We ended up doing a trolley tour yesterday. It was a miserable cold, rainy day day in Beantown, but today it's bright & beautiful. The next two days should be perfect for sightseeing.
