Okay, I know this isn't a timeshare question, but I'm looking for some input on hotels in Seattle. I'm planning to go up for a weekend in April (no firm date yet) and want to get some ideas. I've stayed at the downtown Hilton and the Sheraton in the past, would like something different. I'll probably try Priceline closer to the date of travel. Any input would be appreciated. TIA

If you're an owner of any Starwood TS and you paid your MF early last year, you qualify for their 50% off promotion on hotel / villa bookings you make in 2011. I would use that promo code and stay at one of the Westins, Ws or Sheratons in the area. You know they are going to be higher quality. It's just a matter of the area.

Do you mean the Murphy bed at the Camlin? The WM Murphy beds are usually queen's. These are full queen mattresses. VERY comfortable. Nothing like a sleeper sofa. My son or my sister is usually relegated to the Murphy beds when we travel WM. Neither one complains. Fear not the Murphy bed!

Why not Bainbridge Island - or elsewhere in Kitsap - that's the other side of Puget Sound. Enjoy that side of the Sound. Visit Port Townsend. Or go to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park. Priceline offers name your own price for some locales over there - Bainbridge Island, Silverdale, and Port Angeles for sure.
After the weekend, you go to Olympia by simply going down Hwy 101.“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”
