Which is currently the nicer, Suites or Villas?

I haven't been to my home resort in several years but, I do keep up on the resort. Which is nicer probably depends on what's more important to you.

The Suite's were completely renovated a few years ago. DRI has always been good with maintaining the units but, they had a dated look and needed a makeover. They should still be in excellent condition.

The Suite's occupy towers 1 and 2. Tower one faces east and west with the majority of the units facing the strip. Tower 2 faces north and south with good views of the strip either direction. We always prefered the view looking at MGM.

So the Suite's have had a more recent complete refurbishment and tend to have better views.

The Villa's are in tower 3, which also faces east and west but, the majority of the units face the east. Those that do face west have a view of the strip but, they also look at the back of the east facing rooms for tower 1. We've had an west facing room in the Villa's and actually found it to be a pretty decent view. I was amazed at the girls/women who would forget to close their curtains when changing clothes. Or maybe they didn't forget. Maybe they just didn't care or were showing off.

The Villa's are a little more comfortable or luxurious I suppose. They have a very nice murphy bed in the living room rather than a sofa sleeper. That means the couch is more comfortable and, if you have guests or kids sleeping in the living room, they'll have a better surface to sleep on. The bathroom in the Villa's also has two vanities where as the Suite's batheroom has only one. The Villa's also has a nice soaker tub whereas the Suite's has a standard bathtub.

So the Villa's could be considered a little more upscale but, they don't have the views that the majority of the Suite's units have. Which is why I say it just depends on what's important to you? A unit that's a little more upscale or, a comfortable unit that's been more recently refurbished/redesigned with better views but doesn't necessarily have the elegant touches.
