Thanks for all your input. In the end, we have decided to fly Ontario, Ca to Oakland, Ca. 100.00 R/T tickets on Southwest Then drive the rest of the way. I haven't seen that part of California in 25 years. Should be a nice trip. Just going to keep my fingers crossed for no snow.
