Island Park Village Resort size upgrade

I own a summer 1BR at this resort, and will want to visit in 2012 with 5 people. I assume I need to upgrade to a 2BR. Does Island Park have internal trading preference with RCI, in which case I would place an ongoing request in RCI? Would I have to use my IPVR as the trader to get the internal preference? Is Trading Places more likely to come through? I think at Trading Places I would have to pay a unit size upgrade fee as well as an exchange fee.

Grayfal owns here so she's probably the best to answer. However, TP does manage the property and I have seen availability on their website in the past. If you had a 2BR deposit with them (non-IPV week) you could do a straight trade across with no upgrade fee requirement. I don't believe they have an internal trade preference.

In the "old days" at RCI you did get an home resort priority - I upgraded through RCI several times. I don't know if it still applies under the new system.

TPI you will have to pay an upgrade to go from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom
