  • A foot of new powder at the Canyons and Park City today

Well it hasn't been a great snow season here for the locals, but my boys have been having a great week.

There is plenty of snow, and temps until today have been ideal. Today I am cold outside for the first time, but sitting in the hottub while it snows is pretty neat, so I'm not complaining. Today it is supposed to snow most of the day, my kids reported almost a foot of new powder at the higher elevations. DH had to take a lesson to figure out how to ski powder, he only started skiing last year and never had the chance to learn how to do this.

There were a couple of inches earlier in the week, too. Anyone coming in this weekend should have great conditions. Usually I've had enough after a week on a ski trip, but this time I don't want to leave

Why the lesson? To ski power, you just point your skis downhill and go, no?

Mmmmmmm, fresh powder! There's nothing sweeter!

Skiing in powder is tough work and you can get tired pretty quick. The trick is to lean back but not too far back or you'll go a__ over tea-kettle.

        Enjoy!

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Lucky me....I just checked into the Westgate Canyons and the snow on the ground is beautiful. This timeshare is really top notch! granite everywhere...leather sofas...steam shower...ski vallets...great location.

My only complaints: No free internet access and too many staged photos of Mr. Siegal on the walls with celebs.

I will hit the slopes tomorrow...I think the locals will be out in force on Saturday and Sunday!

Marti, I don't know what size unit Bill is in, but the units are new and beautiful, just built in the last few years. The one bedrooms that sleep 4 are small, really the lockoff portion, and I think only have a partial kitchen. The one bedroom sleeps 6 can't really fit 6 but are ok for a family of four. It is (so far) an easy trade off season, but incredibly tough in prime ski season. My favorite feature is the steam shower. Some larger units have hot tubs on the decks... the larger one bedroom plus loft units and maybe some two bedroom units too.

Bill, have a great week, I'm sorry I am out of time so we won't get to meet. Sunday there will be fewer locals than Saturday, if it's anything like last week and last year. Something to do with church on Sunday... today may be ok since it's a big changeover day and people like us are leaving If you book ski school then you get to bypass the lines

                  Bill,

No kidding on enough of those MULTIPLE staged photo's. I think maybe a few of us owners should tape up some photo's of ourselves instead of the celebrities he keeps posing with...

I hope the snow sticks around a while - we are coming back for the first week of April.
