How is the snow holding up. We have gotten a little more snow here in So Cal. but its still looking like a drought year.

As of March 18 (when I left to return home after a week of ok, but not great, skiing in Park City), NOT GOOD! And there has been very little snow, and continued very warm temps, since then.

Quick check-in (albeit a month late!!!)

We were at Canyons Mar 23-30 and the snow was pretty thin...but we're happy with a dusting!

I think the Canyons closed about a week ago. This was a very light snow year for Park City - about 100 inches below average, I believe - though it was running on track through early March. March is generally the heaviest snow month, and this year there was hardly any snow in March at all, after the first couple of days. Not a flake the whole week I was there, March 11-18, which is very unusual. Not for lack of cold enough temps, either. Though the highs were upper 50s/ low 60s every day when I was there, the lows every night were in the upper 20s. So there could have been snow, but there just wasn't. Oh well, there's always next year! We still had a blast, as it was our first time staying at Mountainside, which we really enjoyed.

So true rubin. It was our first time in Park City (went to Alta 10+ yrs and 30 pounds ago!!), so we now LOVE the area...good snow or bad!

Next year is in the cards, assuming of course I can get an exchange for something up there. Haven't seen anything lately...
