Thinking of flying into SLC and out of Kalispell, MT (FCA).
Anyone have money saving tips for picking up a van at Salt Lake City and dropping it at Glacier area?
I only checked http://www.carrentals.com/
At SLC, can rent the largest car for comfort and luggage space and drop it off at Kalispell (FCA) and fly home. The one way rental is over $2500. That allows unlimited mileage. We don't have to drive back to SLC, meaning we get more time in Montana.
Full sized Impala is about $600 less.
National Rental is a bit cheaper.
I Mapquest checked. It is 6.5 hours driving time from W. Yellowstone to Columbia Falls via Helena and Swan Lake. You may skip Helena by going west on I-90 and up through Helmville and Swan Lake. You get to see some Montana without many towns that way. PRETTY and peaceful.
