One Day in Boise with kids - suggestions?

Well, actually we'll have 2 days, one each way on our drive to and from Salt Lake City from Seattle. Our hotel is the Hyatt near a mall so we'll stop there, but is there anything great for a family to do in the end of June or on July 4?

Boise has a water park and outdoor fun center. Or you can float the Boise River. It'll likely be hot.

I guess it somewhat depends on how old the kids are......

There's a 'Discovery Center' near Julia Davis Park (which also has the Zoo) if the kids are into that sort of hands-on stuff. Here's a link: Discovery Center of Idaho
