I wanted to check in with other IPV owners. I just got the M/F notice for 2010 and now all weeks (red, white, blue) have the same M/F at $488 for 1bdrm and and $527 for 2bdrm.
This means that 1bdrm Red week with early pay $20 off for cash/cheque will be $468 which is less than the $472 for M/F in 2008 and 2bdrm red week with $22 off for cash/cheque payment will also be less than $518 of 2008. Whereas Blue week 1bdrm went from $334 to $411 to the current $488 (or $468 with discount) for a 46% increase over 2 years.
What are other owners thoughts on this?
I bought a low season blue week to trade in II for Hyatts and have gotten it twice but have since bought Hyatt directly for the flexibility. As a mediocre trader, going from $305 to the current $488 in about 4 years is a big jump. I know Hyatts in CO have mud season for a fraction of the points value of peak winter or summer weeks and it more accurately reflect supply and demand.
How does one go about giving a week away for free and the other party pay for the transfer costs? The only advantage I can see a blue week is for someone localish that want to take advantage of the discounted owner golf fees.
