  • Fairfield Glade Tennessee

Has anyone stayed at the Wyndham in Fairfield Glade, TN.
What are the units like - Have they been updated recently

Do they offer day trips to
    Chattanooga or Nashville

They used to go to the GOO on Tuesdays for that show. I've heard great things about this place but never been there.

We've stayed there and enjoyed it. We didn't use any of the activities/facilities so I don't know about trips. It's an easy drive to Nashville. I remember the units being nice, nothing special, but nice--huge whirl pool tub--too big to fill; no way there is enough hot water in the unit to do it.

I meet a lot of golfers who have stayed there, and everyone likes it.

It is a huge community with timeshares dispersed throughout. the units are nice. the activity is golf. when we went, they would charge you to use the outdoor swimming pools. Activities are basically community activities, I do remember a day trip to Nashville. A nice State Park with a good restaurant a ride away. also went to the mountains on the other saide of Knoxville, can't remember the name. cimbed to Clingman's Dome

It was a long time ago, but they must have got a deal on huge tubs. I remember our condo at Fairfield Bay had one, too.

The units are nice, 3 levels, 2 decks. The newest ones are at Nottingham and one floor. There are a lot of stairs in the older units, if that is a concern.

              Golf, inexpensive and really good.

The new community center is open, indoor pool, no charge to TS use.

The mountains on the other side of Knoxville are the Smoky Mountains. AND yes they are very nice and just beautiful. All of the state is lovely and a very good place to vacation.

The Cumberland County Playhouse has top notch shows. My husband played in the orchestra there one year while my son acted in several of the productions. Well worth the trip.
