Just booked a room at Club Le Pension for this Columbus day weekend. I had a room in the same resort for the Last Oct that passed but we all know what happened there.
This will make about 2 years since I have gone there. I was beginning to get the shakes.

We have considered going to New Orleans this summer. Can you suggest a great resort for a first time trip to New Orleans?

We used to own at "The QuarterHouse" but sold a few it a few years ago after my wifes school calender changed.

IMHO it has a great location and a very professional staff.

Have a wonderful trip....It's great to hear that people are beginning to go back to New Orleans.

I don't know anyone who has been there since the hurricane. Hopefully, by October things will be even better than they are today.....

The 2 top resorts in the french Quarter are the Quarterhouse and Club Le Pension.

I would not go in the Summer, It starts getting super hot in June and it stays hot right into Sept.

I have seen the resort and the location is great. It is close to the Mississippi right near the main area. I missed staying there because of the hurricane last year. That's why I ended up in Aruba last minute.

A very kind aquaintance gave us the use of the last few nights of their week at the Quarterhouse. Lovely accommodation and very well located - within walking distance to everything.

One thing about the Quarterhouse. the location is great but if you have kids keep in mind that there are strip bars right next door and at times the girls are out side with very little on.

I think that is a very good point to make.....If you have never been there, you would have no idea of the neighborhood.

Some may think that would be great....others, not so great.....

That's funny. We had four kids with us and didn't even notice. They must come out after bedtime? Well, our bedtime anyway.

I own there, and the location is great. Walkable to everything you would want to do as a tourist. The resort is also well maintained, and the staff are friendly. They lock the door at about 8 pm, so you will need a key to get in after that. If you will be checking in late, you need to make arrangements in advance to have them Fed Ex you a key so that you can get into your room.
