What happens if the timeshare property is affected by the rising river and is flooded? I have an exchange for December at Wyndham La Belle Maison. I know it is too early to tell, but I am just trying to put things into prospective. If I loose out on this it is nothing compared to the devistation that will have taken place. My heart goes out to those involved and pray for their safety.

If you are that worried take out insurance which I would not do. When Katrina hit I had a Nola Exchange canceled for the next month. II did meet me part of the way sndf I ened up in Aruba. Most timeshares are safe that are in the Quarter, The ones you have to worry about are e ones closer to the river. I own at the Quarterhouse and IMO I doubt that the water will make it up that far.Timeshareforums Shirts and Mugs on sale now! http://www.cafepress.com/ts4ms

The Corps of Engineers just put up a warning for a flood watch saying they were opening up the Morganza Spillway within the next 24 hours. I live 45 miles southwest of New Orleans in the town of Gray which is in Terrebonne Parish. It is unclear if we will be affected by the flood waters. The bayou that runs in front of my street is dry right now. I am really hoping the the bayou takes up a lot of the water when/if it comes our way. Please pray for our community.

I live southeast of New Orleans. From all I hear New Orleans should not be flooded.
