Best time for nashville

We are making vacation plans for 2012 and would like some tips on the best time to visit Nashville. We are a homeschooling family of 4 (3-13) and prefer to travel during the school year so as to avoid crowds.

Spring or Fall. Late April into early May or mid-late October. You miss the summer heat and the weather is likely to be glorious.

It depends on your reason for visiting Nashville. If you are going for one of the events then you are locked into that date. If not then I would choose mid-September to mid-October because of weather and you won't have the crowds. This period is not as rainy as the spring.

What & when is fanfest week?

I've never been, but I think it's in June. A big deal where the country stars meet and greet their fans.

It is June. I like Oct for Nashville. The GOO usually has a big birthday celebration. There is so much to do in Nashville. We love it!!! The last time we were there we ate at Monell's and William GOlden of the Oak Ridge Boys was at our table and he picked up our bill!! shaggy
