No big name shows in Gatlinburg/PF?

Last time I went, I saw Louise Mandrell, Lee Greenwood, and some others but upon looking this year, I see none. Am I missing something? shaggy

The Louise Mandrell show closed down last year. When I went by her old building this past week they have a religious program, I think it is called The Miracle. I don't know about Lee Greenwood. Most everything I saw for musical entertainment would be considered more family oriented musical/comedy variety. For our music fix we spent a few days in Nashville and enjoyed the GOO and the General Jackson riverboat.

Lee Greenwood's theatre went bust years ago. Bad location for one thing. Now the building is a church.

Country Tonight often has one or two days of a big name. Recent ones I remember are George Jones, Waylon Jennings and Don Williams.

There are also often big names in Knoxville. www.metropulse.com might be a good place to look. www.wdvx.com will have listings of big name bluegrass shows.

Ricky Skaggs is going to be at Dollywood on Friday. Several big names during the Bluegrass and BBQ event there.

Contry Tonite

Shaggy, if there isn't a concert going on at Country Tonite while you are there, the show at The Country Tonite theater is definitely worth seeing. Really talented people. When is it you are going?

I will be there Oct 13th thru the 20th. No big names during that time. I will be going to Dollywood and some small shows . I am also lucky to be there during the fall craft fair. Do you want to meet up? shaggy
