We stayed there a couple of times.

I would say it is small to medium size. There are a lot of units but the resort is not spread out over scores of acres they way Fairfield Glade is. You could use Google Earth to view and aerial photo. The address is 2415 McGavock Pike.

Yes, they are attractively decorated, have balconies, whirlpools, etc. We have stayed in the large 1BR and 2BR units. I don't know what the small 1BR units are like.

    Yes. Two outdoor, one indoor.

Assuming you mean FSP points not RCI points, about 77K small 1BR, 84K large 1BR, 126K 2BR
Please don't take offense, but if you are a FF owner, you should be able to find this information yourself via the directory or the web site. If you are not a Fairfield owner, I am puzzled about why that information would be important to you. Also, although some of the information on this site www.fairfieldresorts.com is reserved for members (e.g. points charts), quite a bit of the site is open to the public.

IMHO, all of the above. At Christmas there may be some special music shows in the area (we saw a Pam Tillis dinner concert).

Our favorites have been the Grand Ole Opry, the Opry Mills Mall, the Opryland Hotel, all very close to FF Nashville. We also enjoyed the Cowboy Church on Sunday morning (van transportation from the resort), and the tours offered by the resort (sometimes Johnny Cash's sister is a tour guide). There are a lot of things we'd like to do in the area but have not yet had time for (riverboat, etc., Hermitage, etc.). There is live entertainment at the resort some nights.

Since my wife's sister is DOOGOO, the girls in her fmaily go to Fairfield Nashville every Summer for Girls' Week Out and again Thanksgiving weekend for Christmas festivities.

      They have a good time.

Her opinion of Fairfield Nashville is that it is OK but not as nice as Fairfield Branson. She says it is a tad dated.

Of course, the staff gives the same unreliable information as at most timeshare resorts, such as last August when they said that Fairfield was now Wyndham and no longer part of/available through RCI.

I take the first 2 bedroom 8/6 that shows up for Mid July to Mid August.

The Opryland Hotel is impressive, a typical Gaylord property. There is a large parking lot that is common to the GOO, Opry Mills, and the Opryland Hotel, with the entrance being on the Fairfield Nashville side of the complex.

JLB - If GOO stands for Grand Ole Opry, what does DOO mean?

Also, I now wonder whether Goo Goo Clusters were named for the GOO

Also, I would hope that the staff at FF Nashville are no longer behaving badly. A while back there was a sexual harassment lawsuit involving that resort http://www.nydclaw.com/secondamendedclasscomplaint.pdf.

And the last time we were there, we went to the "update" and were told that if we traded in all our separate UDI contracts for one large contract (buying more points in the process) our total maintenance fees would go down! ROFL. They claimed that the FSP program fees were per contract when in fact they are based on the number of points owned without regard to the number of contracts owned.

                  Ryman Auditorium

Historic - Ryman Auditorium - Nashville TN

The Ryman Auditorium first opened its doors in 1892
as a vision of Captain Thomas G. Ryman. With the
coming of the Grand Ole Opry show in 1943, the Ryman
found its identity as the Mother Church of Country Music.

                  In 1974,
the Opry moved to its current home by the
Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center and
left the Ryman vacant. It was not until twenty years
later in 1994 that the Ryman was restored to be the
national showplace that it is today.

Musicians ranging from Roy Acuff to James Brown and Patsy Cline
to Sheryl Crow have performed on the Ryman stage, making it
a historical as well as a current-day icon for people everywhere.

Welcome to the Historic Ryman Auditorium

RE: Anyone visited Belle Meade Plantation in Nashville

DW and I have toured Belle Meade, Belmont, Traveler's Rest, Hermatige, and one or two other historic plantation houses within about an hours drive of Nashville. We enjoyed them all because we are history buffs. Since we are also country music fans we have of course been to the GOO several times as well as the Ryman, CMHOF, etc...

Last September we stayed at FF Nashville, the 2 bedroom units were very large and in their day were very nice. I was disappointed with the lack of maintenance and shoddy repairs in the particular unit we stayed in. I hope that was not typical of the entire resort.

MY SIL is DOOGOO, so the girls in my wife's family go the Fairfield Nashville for Girls' Week Out every summer, and again Thanksgiving weekend. I grab the first July 2-bedroom 8/6 I see.

That pretty much sums up their impression of Fairham Nashville, as I have posted several times. She says its alright, but not as nice as Fairham Branson.
