I have been to New Orleans many times for Mardi Gras and a couple of times for Jazz Fest and in the early spring. Everyone says that Halloween there is a blast. It would make sense. The voodoo roots of the culture, the many haunted places, the tradition of masking and the general trend toward the occult in the city seem to make it an ideal place to spend Halloween.
So, I finally decided to go this year. I have looked at a few websites, and they have a couple of costume contests and a Voodoo Music Festival that appears to attract some pretty big stars.
But, for those of you who have been there during that time, what have you found to be fun things to do in NOLA during Halloween? Other than the usual fun things to do in NOLA, of course.
