new orleans tour freebies & suggestions

we are making a trip to new orleans 9/22/2008
staying at quarter house with no car
we are new to timeshares so we might do a tour but buying resale
any other suggestions appreciated

I don't think you will get a tour in Nola all of the timeshares there have been sold out and as far as I know there are no new ones being built there.

Club La Pension goes into sales mode once in awhile, and they will offer a $50 certificate to their restaurant, Giovanni's (not very good) or something similar for taking the tour. Avenue Plaza usually offers a free Riverboat ride or something like that. Nothing particularly exciting or good for the tours, so I don't usually take them when I'm there.

Late in the day last October we went on a tour of Club La Pension when the street hawker offered us $100. We didn't buy of course but we did spend the money that very day at K-Paul's. Just doing our part to keep money in the French Quarter!

Wyndham La Belle Maison

Wyndham is building La Belle Maison Resor. I am not sure when it will be completed but they are selling time off site. So I am sure the bodysnatchers will be out
