I have a 2bd on hold with RCI for Tree Tops resorts in Gatlinburg .

Does anyone know if there is a difference in the assignment of units depending on the check-in day?

We own there, but haven't been, yet. We have a two bedroom with a loft and when I reserve mine for deposit, the only way I will get one of these stand alone unit, is to reserve it for a Friday check-in. I don't know if for exchangers if a Friday check-in means you get one of these units or if they have other 2 bedroom units that have a Friday check-in, also.

I called RCI because I'm a little concerned of all the stairs. We would invite another couple to come with us, but all stairs might be an issue with one of them. The unit on hold is Unit 112. I then called the resort who stated that 112 is...building 1, first floor..not ground floor but 18 steps to the unit. I'm torn as to what to do. It is still early and I could wait to see if another unit appears for that time frame for next Memorial week. I guess I'll sleep on it and decide. I may look at all of Lawren's et all postings to see when they space bank and decide after that.......well, now that I have gone on and on...

At Tree Tops the only ground floor timeshare units are some of the "pedestal" units (2 bedroom with loft); some of them also have steps. All the other buildings have parking underneath at ground level. All buildings except 1, 2, and 3 have elevators; however, buildings 5 and 7 each have units that have steps that must be negotiated to reach them from the elevators.
