    Hideaway Hills Resort (#5387)

We have never even heard of the place. The website listed on the RCI page (hideawayhillsresort.com) does not seem to exist. However, the photos on HideawayHills.com seem to match and that's the website shown for this resort on some of the timeshare rental companies' websites.

Anyway, it appears to be a resort that offers "whole" or "shared" ownership and owners may apparently deposit weeks with RCI. This makes me wonder if the interiors are all different or furnished to different standards of quality. It's a "standard" resort on the RCI page but the resort page says it's gold crown, so maybe it used to be that.

Still, it looks like a really nice option if someone wants to stay in a secluded log home on vacation in the Smokies! Looks like all of these individual log cabins offer a stone fireplace (gas), jacuzzi tub and wraparound porch w/6-person hot tub. The larger ones have their own games room. The resort page says they have homes that sleep anywhere from 4-20 people but RCI only lists 2BR 6/4 and 3BR 10/8. The website says it's on 20 acres in Sevierville and located 1.5 miles from the Live Oaks Mall in Pigeon Forge.

I don't see any reviews OY or even at TripAdvisor. If it's well-maintained, I would LOVE to try it out! Have you seen this place yet, Marti?

      Hideaway Hills Resort...

October - 2006 - we were driving around west of theApppleWood Restaurant in Sevierville, TN - saw a sign for log cabin for sale - lets take a look ------ that was our come-on....

It was late on Sunday morning - place was really laid back with one office person in the 'welcome' building - looked like a nice residential area - and was a mix of full owership, partial shares, and timeshares. Finally some guy showed up and took us on visit to a time share unit - a total separate house type unit -it wasn't 100% done nor was it furnished as yet - and it was 'okay' but not overly impressive but maybe we saw it to early in the finishing process - cabinets were in boxes - stuff like that(we were staying at the then Fairfield in Sevierville) It would be a nice place in the 'woods' - seemingly very private - nice size deck overlooking the fall colors - narrow curvy black topped access roads - with little or no activities (at least we didn't see any). I don't remember any of the prices - because we were not very interested. I am not sure who they traded with or how.....
