Efficiency in Gatlinburg

I reserved a unit at the Gatlinburg Town Square for May of next year. I just received a nice notice in the mail welcoming my future visit.
I really like when resorts do this and it shows a personal touch.
But, I had to double check my reservation because I thought maybe I had reserved the wrong year and I was supposed to be going this month.

Since I am assuming they already have my reservation...is it possible to request a room at this time? If so, where in the resort has a nice view? I have a 2BR unit that sleeps six.

I didn't realize they charge $55.00 for less than 7 nights for housekeeping.
Does anyone know if this is daily housekeeping, mid week or just the initial housekeeping?

It's a decent resort with a great location. The two bedroom unit will sleep four comfotably and 6 if two sleep on the sofa sleeper. There really isn't much of a view for this resort and the vast majority of units face into the courtyard for the "view".

I have pictures of our phase 2 unit which is a lock off unit. I believe phase 2 units are the only units have have a washer/dryer combo in them. Click on the photo to take you directly to our webshot's photo album for Gatlinburg Town Square.

If it isn't a lockout, where are the washer dryers located?

I couldn't tell from my confirmation as it did not list a washer/dryer being in out unit. However, when we arrived there we had been assigned a LO unit with the washer/dryer unit. I'd like to think if it lists a W/D on your confirmation then you'd be assigned one of those units. But, since it wasn't
listed on our confirmation and we still ended up with one it probably isn't any indicator if a W/D isn't listed.

I'm not sure where the laundry area is for the phase 1 units. When we were there I never took the time to search it out.

FWIW, there are a few phase two units that have a view of the creek and hill side behind the resort. IMO it's not much of a view and the view into the resorts courtyard is really a pleasant view anyway.
